I love having tea parties with my grand-girlies, and I enjoy having a tea luncheon with my friends. After all, only age separates the two wonderful circles in my life. Little girls and girls of a more interesting age all enjoy getting together for fun, food, and fellowship!
This past week, I prepared lunch for a very dear friend. We haven’t been together for months due to the pandemic and life circumstances. Both of our lives have changed significantly since we last chatted. I so enjoyed our fellowship. While my desire was to bless her, I think I was the one that came away feeling blessed by her grace and faith.
Our lunch menu was very simple but yummy!
She was so excited about the chicken salad. I had prayed that she would be blessed by the lunch and it turns out that chicken salad is her favorite.
Easy Caprese Salad is truly easy to make. The tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil are enhanced perfectly by simple balsamic glaze.
I realized too late that I had a smear on my camera lens. Even so, these cute little toasts added another layer of great flavor and tea party ambience.
No tea party or tea luncheon would be complete without a fanciful dessert. Lemon-Berry Shortbread looks elegant and tastes like summer. They are an easy semi-homemade dessert made with shortbread cookies, lemon curd, and your favorite berry. Add your favorite iced tea with a sprig of mint to complete the menu.

Of course, in our state, your group must be smaller than five and except when eating you should probably be wearing masks. Even so, don’t let the pandemic keep you isolated and alone.
