We celebrated my oldest son’s 30th birthday just over a week ago. I don’t mind telling you that it was more traumatic than celebrating my own birthdays! Can I really have a child that is that old? Yep!
To celebrate this special day, I decided to make a Memory Quilt. Now, mind you, I had never made a quilt before so this was a big venture. I was really pleased with the results and so was Ryan. I am posting on the “Sharing the Past” tab because it was a picture quilt.
I used paper-backed cotton sheets that can be printed with a inkjet printer to print 46 pictures that made up 36 blocks. The first block was the picture from the hospital when he was one day old and the last block was Ryan and his sweet daughter, Nora, on his first Father’s Day.
I am already planning the quilts that will be expected in three years for the twins’ 30th birthdays!
Counting my blessings and loving that God gifted my with a Heart 4 Home!!
